Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railroad – runs the North/South length of Celina’s planning area.
Celina sits between Interstate 35 on the west and Interstate 75 on the east. State Highway 380 runs south of Celina. State Highway 289 runs through Celina.
Future plans include extending the North Dallas Tollway from TX-380 to Grayson County; service roads to CR 428 are expected to be completed by the county December 2007. Additional thoroughfare planning includes the East West Tollway joining Interstate 75 with the North Dallas Tollway Extension, which will cut through Celina. These future roadways will increase the north/south and east/west traffic flow, making Celina the key intersection point of these roadways.
