Fourteen local businesses. One community. 14,828 meals funded.
The results are in from the inaugural Celina Restaurant Week, and they demonstrate what can happen when local businesses, community partners and residents come together around a shared purpose.
Held August 21 through September 5 in partnership with Grace Bridge and the Celina Economic Development Corporation, Celina Restaurant Week encouraged residents and visitors to discover local dining destinations, support Celina businesses and help provide meals for families served by Grace Bridge.
Together, the community helped fund an incredible 14,828 local meals.
Fourteen Businesses, One Shared Purpose
Fourteen Celina restaurants and businesses participated in the inaugural event:
1418 Coffee, Granny’s Sweets, Heyday, Little Wooden Penguin, Lucy’s on the Square, Mangiamo Italian Market & Deli, Nowhere Bar, Papa Gallo’s Mexican Grill, Smoothie Factory + Kitchen™, Tender Smokehouse, Toasted Walnut Table & Market, Valley Vines, Voodoo Frontier and The Wick.
Each participating business helped turn an everyday decision about where to eat, meet for coffee or spend time with friends into an opportunity to make a larger community impact.
For the Celina EDC, that connection matters.
Economic development is about attracting new investment and creating opportunities for future growth, but it is equally important to support the businesses that have already chosen to invest in Celina. Programs such as Restaurant Week help introduce residents and visitors to local businesses, encourage dollars to be spent within the community and create partnerships that extend beyond any single organization.
The Impact of Supporting Local
The final total of 14,828 meals funded represents more than the success of a single event.
It represents restaurants willing to participate, organizations working together and a community choosing to show up and support local businesses.
As Celina continues to grow, maintaining those connections will remain an important part of the community's economic story. Growth creates opportunities for new restaurants, retailers and investment, while strong local businesses help create the character and sense of place that make people want to live, visit and invest here.
Celina Restaurant Week brought those ideas together in a meaningful way: support local businesses while supporting local families.
The Celina EDC is proud to have partnered with Grace Bridge and our participating businesses to help make the inaugural Restaurant Week possible.
Thank you to every participating business, community partner and individual who dined local, shared the message and supported the effort.
14 businesses. 14,828 meals. One community making an impact.
It is another example of what can happen when growth, business and community remain connected.
