The Celina Economic Development Corporation and Celina Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a Summer Shop Celina Passport Program to support local businesses.
To participate, shoppers collect six stamps from participating Celina merchants, no purchase is necessary. Completed passports can be emailed to info@celinaedc.com or dropped off at the Celina EDC office located at 302 W. Walnut.
Three prize baskets will be awarded: $500 for first place, $300 for second and $200 for third. Winners will select gift cards from participating merchants for their git baskets, paid for by the EDC.
“We have recently announced the second Celina Passport Program: Shop Summer Passport,” said Melissa Thomas, director of marketing and tourism. “The first Celina Passport Program launched in the fall of 2023 in tandem with Shop Small Saturday weekend after the Thanksgiving holiday and ran from Nov. 25–Dec. 31, 2023.”
Thomas said the program was created to support Shop Small Saturday and encourage shopping at local businesses in Celina during the holidays. The first program had approximately 84 submissions.
"We hope everyone visiting Celina businesses participates in our Shop Celina Summer Passport Program,” Thomas said.
